Saddle Ridge was largely built out in the 1990s and early 2000s, and many yards here still reflect what the original builder installed — a patch of sod, a few starter shrubs, and often a single tree that was never well suited to the lot.
Our tree planting service helps Saddle Ridge homeowners add shade, privacy, and year-round curb appeal. We recommend prairie-hardy species matched to your yard's soil type, sun exposure, and lot size before any planting begins, so the tree you choose still fits the property in twenty years.
Our large tree planting service uses specialized equipment to install mature, established trees that deliver immediate visual impact. Ideal for properties where waiting eight to ten years for a usable shade or privacy canopy isn't a practical option.
Our Saddle Ridge tree planting team works with commercial property managers, condo boards, and retail plaza owners to enhance outdoor spaces with well-placed, climate-appropriate species. We handle volume planting efficiently while maintaining quality, sourcing, and aftercare on every installation.
We partner with builders and landscape contractors on new construction sites across northeast Calgary. Our crew ensures every tree is correctly sited, soil-prepared, and installed as part of a broader landscape plan — set up to thrive in Saddle Ridge's clay soils and exposed wind corridor.
Strategically planting trees not only beautifies your property but also increases its market appeal and long-term value. Healthy, well-placed trees create a welcoming landscape that enhances curb appeal and attracts potential buyers.
From a single ornamental tree to a large-scale commercial planting, our tree planting company has the crew and machinery to handle it. Our large tree planting service includes proper equipment for root ball handling and precise placement.
Every planting project begins with a detailed written estimate at a fixed price. No verbal pricing, no surprise add-ons, and no scope creep — the number you sign off on is the number you pay.
Site Assessment & Species Selection:Our tree planting specialists visit your property to assess soil conditions, drainage, sun exposure, and spacing. Since many homes in the community are on newer lots with reworked soil and limited existing canopy, we walk you through species options suited to your site before any work is quoted or scheduled.
Soil Preparation:Proper soil preparation gives every tree the best possible start. Saddle Ridge yards often sit on recently graded or backfilled ground, so we dig the planting hole to the correct dimensions, amend soil where drainage or nutrient content requires it, and confirm conditions before the tree goes in.
Professional Planting & Staking:We plant every tree at the correct depth — never too shallow, never too deep — and stake young trees where Saddle Ridge's open NE wind exposure makes it necessary. Correct installation at this stage directly affects long-term survival.
Mulching & Aftercare Guidance:After planting, we apply a mulch ring to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature through Alberta's seasonal extremes. We provide a straightforward written aftercare guide covering watering schedules and first-year maintenance — particularly important for the younger landscapes typical across Saddle Ridge.
Strategic tree planting does more than improve the look of your Saddle Ridge property. Placing the right trees in the right locations can prevent a range of practical and costly problems over time:
Adept Landscape And Construction is a Calgary-based tree planting company with direct experience on Saddle Ridge lots — from new builds with bare yards to established homes ready for an upgrade.
We know how recently graded soils behave, where wind exposure matters most, and which species actually thrive in NE Calgary conditions. Every job begins with an honest on-site assessment, not a sales pitch. If a spot isn't suitable for the tree you have in mind, we'll tell you and offer a better option.
Our tree planting work in Saddle Ridge fits alongside our wider services: arborist support, tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and complete landscaping — so you can manage your whole yard through one reliable contractor.
STRONG ROOTS START WITH PROFESSIONAL TREE PLANTING.
In the landscape industry, hardscaping refers to the installation of non-living components that are a part of a garden or landscape. This can include flagstone patios, staircases, retaining walls, water features, fire pits, and feature stones. The goal of hardscape is to improve the functionality of your outdoor space while adding aesthetic appeal. At Adept Landscape, our hardscaping services include design, installation, and maintenance of these features, ensuring your landscape is both beautiful and practical.
Pricing depends on tree size, species, site access, and any required soil prep — and Saddle Ridge yards often need extra prep because of recently disturbed ground. Smaller ornamentals can start in the low hundreds; large, mature installs are higher. You'll get a clear written quote after the site visit.
The duration of hardscaping projects can greatly vary based on the scope and complexity of the work. Simple tasks like building a small patio or walkway can take a few days, but larger or more complex projects such as an outdoor kitchen or a multi-tiered retaining wall can take several weeks. At Adept Landscape and Construction, we pride ourselves on efficient planning and execution. We provide realistic timelines from the outset and keep our clients updated at every stage of the project. Our commitment is to maintain the highest quality standards while delivering on time. However, please remember that factors like weather conditions or changes made mid-project can sometimes impact timelines.
A tree service refers broadly to any company that performs tree-related work such as removal, pruning, or stump grinding. An arborist is a trained specialist in the care and management of individual trees — someone qualified to assess tree health, diagnose disease, and recommend the right course of action. At Adept Landscape And Construction, our arborist services combine hands-on tree work with the knowledge to do it correctly and safely.
Yes, when the species and the distance are right. We assess mature canopy size, root behaviour, and nearby foundations, water lines, and overhead utilities before recommending a location. Done properly, a tree near the home adds shade, privacy, and value without risking the structure.
